Lavandula angustifolia commonly called English lavender is a classic variety of lavender used in perfumery. Its aroma is intensely herbal with a characteristic sweet (coumarin) finish.

IFF absolute has a stronger, greener opening and a darker color of the liquid than Firmenich absolute (Lavender Pays Abs.). Their aromas are very similar in later stages.
