Odor description: musky, retro, powdery, sweetish
Musk Ketone began to be used in the late 19th century as a cheaper and more ethical substitute for the natural musk. For the next 100 years, it was used in countless compositions, valued for its characteristic sweet and powdery character. In recent years, it has been subject to strong restrictions, but unlike other nitro musks, it has not been completely banned.
Musk Ketone is an irreplaceable substance when reproducing vintage compositions!
NOTE: Hardly soluble in most solvents, benzyl benzoate is the best. It will also dissolve when added directly to the composition (the composition must be 100% solvent-free).
